Reply with quote | #1 | Another night and another Sabres win. 5-1-1 thru 7 looks like a solid start (Only 10 points ahead of the Laffs). Miller has looked awfully "elite" back in net. Darcy gets an A for ridding Buffalo of an unmotivated Paille for picks. Hopefully Dan Paille can find his game with Boston.
Anyone heard how the Laffs are doing so far?

Miller has looked good...his play with the puck behind the net has been awful the last 3 games but that shouldnt last. Its funnny how good miller looks with a defensive system and low shot totals. Tim thomas is not a good goaltender just like brodeur is the most overrated athlete ever. Its easy to look good under a goalie friendly system. I think miller is a great goalie but if we continue to play in this system he needs to put up great number....anything short of that and im not buying it. __________________ THINK BEFORE YOU POST |

Reply with quote | #3 | HOW DARE YOU QUESTION THE LEAFS!!!
they are slowly but surely blossoming into a juggernaut of truculence and offense. they want you to think they suck. they want you to keep the off you radar. but watch out...
brian burke will catapult this team to extraordinary heights through media hyping. mike komisarek will thrust his stalwart like defense in the faces of all northeast rivals. luke schenn will not only block all of your shots, but will block any hope of a division title rom any rival in the northeast. and how could you forget...HOW COULD YOU FORGET?!??!?! the sheer, undeniable, relentless determination of alexei ponikarovsky?
and this is all before phil kessel returns without marc savard feeding him gifts.
forget the sabres....the entire NHL is in for a rude welcoming from this birth of a dynasty. __________________ IN SCHOPP WE TRUST |

guys just have to ask but why are you bashing on toronto when they've won like 11 cups? I think once the Sabres win one maybe you can start to talk. they are rebuilding and in a few years will absolutely be better than us. Beware the Monster! |

Reply with quote | #5 | How many Cups post expansion? That's what i thought..........ZEROOOO! The way they spend and make money one would think that they could have at least mustered one Cup....NO.
Some of the board babies had predicted the Laffs were better then the Sabres and likely to make a playoff spot....outlook is doubtful.

Sean i never predicted any cup for the leafs. I give them credit for admitting they are rebuilding and they are going about it the right way, i have no repsect for the sabres who never admit they don't have the talent and pretend they are contenders every year. we miss the playoffs and continue with the same cast of clowns in managment thinking they will get it right one day |

Reply with quote | #10 | The main Reason that Miller is playing better is because the softie defencemen that we had on defence have dwindled in numbers. Miller's crease is not getting crowed and for once the Sabres' defence is not getting knocked on their azz's all night. Talinder needs to toughen up, he's not getting any respect when he's carrying the puck.

Reply with quote | #11 | i guess we can chalk up one in the loss column for the laffs. their game last night against the canucks it was evident as to where burke whiffed badly on. if your going to be a tough team you might want to stay out of the box cause the leafs pk is awful. they're 60%. dead last in the league of course and it cost them last night gave up 2 power play goals and it was the difference. also all i keep hearing about is jonas gustavsson,"the monster", is he suppose to make every one shake in the skates. they should just hand him the calder trophy right now. john tavares and victor hedman have nothing on this guy. if this guy is so great how come nobody drafted him? sure you can dominate in the sweden but this isn't sweden. show me what he's done to deserve all this hype?
brian burke set himself up for all the crticism he got. he went on record and said the p word. that's playoffs for slow learners like guy. speaking of guy 6th place isn't looking so good is it for the leafs. did you catch the san jose home opener of the sharks where they raised their presidents trophy banner? did you cry? what a shame that it was all a big waste. presidents trophy and was done in round 1. oh and i know what coming. blow habs blow right. how original. also give me an update on how derrick fisher is doing for ottawa? |

Reply with quote | #13 | Maybe Burke can get Sekera off our hands somehow for a 6th round pick. Throw in Paetsch for a puck.

Reply with quote | #14 | nah nah rich, you gotta keep extra D. nothing says "you better bring your A-game" like a couple of NHL experienced d-men itching to get in the line-up.
granted, they arent the best NHL experienced D-men, but they could crack the top 6 on most teams. at least sekera can.

Reply with quote | #15 | Sabres win yet again to push to 7-1-1. Once again Miller was ELITE allowing 1 goal on over 30 shots. Scoring was spread out once again.
PS- Laffs lost again...at least they got a point. The "Monster" looked mouse like kicking out the fat rebound on the ot game winner.
