Another player that Lindy Ruff used as a scape goat is now flourishing under a good coach. Get rid of Lindy, let talented people use their talent and the Sabres will be back in the playoffs. Scoring one goal a game isn't going to get it done. Lindy Ruff's dump and chase, neutral zone trap has never won anything, and is as boring as watching paint dry. |

Reply with quote | #3 | 2-0-1....The team defense has been much improved. A win is a win rather 1-0 or 8-6. Typical, never happy unless you have something to whine about.

Reply with quote | #4 | gotta love references to Detroit by the euphorics, unfortunately they win cups and darcy and larry embarass themselves and rely on media shills to kiss thier butt. The "trap" is what is used to cover up lack of talent, unfortunately you need an elite goalie to do it and you have an average goalie who's a head case.. |

Reply with quote | #5 | You're right, Henry. Osgood is elite, but Miller is not. You have no argument. And if you want to start a thread about the Miller debate, I'd be more than happy to engage you there and kick the stuffing out of your half-baked statistics that you threw on the comment pages a couple days back.

Reply with quote | #6 | P.S. Babcock on Miller today: "You give Miller 22 shots all year long, he'll be the best goaltender in this league."
I guess Babcock would say that about just "average" goaltenders, right Henry? Tell us about how you know more about hockey than Mike Babcock.

Reply with quote | #8 | Dale, I didn't day anything about Scotty Bowman's lewt wing lock, or Jacques Lamaire's trap based off of Brodeur. The Red Wings and the Devils are light years ahead of the Sabrers from ownership to GM to coach. Comparing the three is silly.
Lindy Ruff's hockey has a 12-years history in Buffalo that has done sqaut. Did it take a hockey god to have Domink Hasek get peppered with 45 shots a game, and try and ride him to a cup? It that Lindy's brillance?
As far as I can tell, the two seasons after the lockout were abberitions. They represent the only good coaching of Ruff's career, and he and Darcy quickly got rid of that team so that they could bring in the same talentless goons that they've always coached.
Maybe Lindy will figure out how to have a decent power play this year, unlike 10 of his other 11 seasons. Maybe he'll figure out how to use a backup goalie. |

so true brother! im sick of miller haters. they just have to find something to hate about the sabres so they go after the easiest target thats not named regeir or ruff.
these are the same guys that think the bills problems revolve around the offensive line...EVERY YEAR __________________ IN SCHOPP WE TRUST |

wow alful defensive on miller there, don't worry about arguments foil ive already embarassed you. all you need to know is his career GA and SV% are average by any accounts and he has no cups and failed twice in the playoffs once when he had the best team in the NHL what's your excuse on that one? he didn't see the alfredson goal? there's always an excuse by losers who get shooled by me, accept he is average and has no cups, awards or anything else. why dont you go down to Chip strip and see him surrounded by the teennie boppers and ask him for his autograph. unfortunately you have absolutely no argument to fight me. BTW when does he face a real team this year? i can stop 22 shots and beat Phoenix too, so can any goalie. he's almost 30 he's toast weve seen the best and its average at best. |

Give us ten NHL goaltenders who are better than him, Henry. Seriously, let's see if you have the testicular fortitude, because you know I'm going to embarrass you (as I always do) in this debate. Let's go, ten goaltenders. I'll even give you the first three (two of which benefit from heavily defensive systems) in Brodeur, Backstrom and Luongo. I just did 30% of the work for you, let's hear seven more, Hank...we're waiting... |

Reply with quote | #12 | so if the sabres two years after the lockout were an abberition, that means that carolina and anaheims cups were also abberitions.
what a dumb thing to say. "those two years dont count". please. give credit where credit is due, you sorry human.
lacaprup...contradict yourself a little more next time. you dont give the sabres credit for relying on hasek, yet you give the devils credit for playing around brodeur. you're what i hate about buffalo. you're an idiot that loves to hate local athletes and teams because you have an inferiority problem.
henry...speaking of beating phoenix. looks like pitt and SJ had an issue putting up goals against them. whats your excuse for that? i'd love to hear your brilliant analysis.
btw henry, have fun posting on a web forum while youre "in hawaii". who does that? shouldn't you be out pretending you're pierre turgeon?

Reply with quote | #14 | Lookin' like Lalime will rot on the bench again. Gotta love Lindy the way he handles his goaltenders. When Lalime gets his shot in net, he'll get shellacked. Why? Because Lindy's an idiot.
We're on the fire Jauron campaign with the Bills. When will the fire Ruff one begin?

There's 7 right now. I don't think it'll be too hard to get three more. Miller is somewhere in the 10-15 range of goalies. Not bad at all, but he isn't going to carry a team to the cup. |
